I'm working on my Typography project which involves constructing letterforms and stippling. (Stippling, by the way, sucks.) Anyway, I took a photo of my work, made a negative, super-exposed it, blah blah, to make it look sorta like an X-Ray.
So, Trajan, yeah? My letter was L, and my font was Trajan. Yes, as in the Roman Emperor who made the column and had that nifty inscription. The guy who made the letters we're using on movie posters centuries later. (Seriously, go look at the posters. ALL TRAJAN. Well, most of them.)
Anyway, this is just the image portion of my cover sheet. I'm very happy with it!
My typography teacher is a bit of an ass so far. "Absolutely no facebook, myspace, youtube....etc web surfing allowed during classtime. All websurfing must be DIRECTLY related to the assignment research, reading or topics covered in the course. Anyone violating this will be excused from class and marked as absent from that point forward for the rest of the course session. You do not pay tuition to waste time."
Directly from his syllabus. I much prefer the "we're all adults here" approach, not the "you pay too much money so let me rule with an iron fist"

Gah! Nightmares of college and stippling! Can't sleep, stipple dots will get me...
This looks very cool, actually. The additional effects on the negative have exactly the effect you were after, at first i was trying to figure out what you did thar. Then I read.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I don't believe we have anything like this as far as projects go... I suppose it would be for learning and I shouldn't knock it.
